Honeymoon - San Francisco
The second part of our honeymoon was in San Francisco! On Tuesday, we hit a few wineries on the way out of town then drove to Sausalito to look around and wait for our dinner reservations at Buckeye. Here are some pictures of Sausalito
Once we had walked around this quiet little harbor town we went to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, Buckeye Roadhouse. They have the best oysters called Oyster's Bingo and a dessert that Drew and I are going to try and create at home called Smores Pie. Amanda and Chris Coble took me here a few years back and I love it!
Once we finished a wonderful meal we headed to San Francisco and returned our rental car. From there we took the subway to our hotel which was the Westin on Market Street.
It was pretty late by the time we checked in to the hotel so we got organized and started out fresh the next day.
Wednesday morning we got up and decided to walk from our hotel to Fisherman's Wharf. Along the way we stopped and ate breakfast. The place we stopped at was interesting because I got a pizza with eggs on it. It was a pretty neat invention....a breakfast pizza. It was very tasty!!
After breakfast we made it to the Fisherman's Wharf and Drew got to see all the sea lions which you could hear before you could even see them.
From there we walked around the pier and went through all the little shops and watched some of the crazy people putting on shows. Then we decided to eat again. Isn't that what trips are for? Eating? We decided to eat somewhere that Drew could get the famous dungeness crab. We ended up eating at the Fog Harbor Fish House.
After lunch we decided to do a bus tour of the city. Here are pictures from the tour;
After riding the tour bus for about an hour or so we got off at one of the stops which was Lombardi Street. We decided to hike the crookest street! It was quite the haul up that steep steep mountain as Drew would call it!
After that hike we headed back to the hotel to get ready for our dinner reservations at Fang. Fang was a wonderful dining experience.
Cabo to follow soon!

Honeymoon - Wine Country
This post is long over due......so here is the first post of our wonderful honeymoon trip!
We started our honeymoon off by heading to St. Pete for Beth and Jake's Wedding! We had such a great time with wonderful friends! Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day!
Once we walk through the national park and got a snack at the little trail cafe we headed to Napa Valley to check into our hotel. After arriving in Napa and grabbing a bite to eat at a little Mexican restaurant next to our hotel we decided to call it a night so we could head out bright and early the next day. Here are a few of the wineries we visited. We covered the Russian River Valley, Sonoma and Napa.
We had a great time in the wine country and look forward to going back someday soon!

That Sunday after the wedding we hopped on a plane and headed for San Francisco, CA. Once we landed and rented a car we headed through the city to Muir Woods National Park to see the Sequoia trees. We were amazed at the size of the trees.

Wild Fourth of July Weekend
I am finally back from my hiatus and ready to catch you up on everything we have been doing. I'm starting with July 4th Weekend and then will go back and catch up.
July Fourth Weekend had plenty of excitement! From scalloping, to fireworks, to dog bites, to fires....we covered it all.
Saturday we loaded up in the boats and head over to Lanark to go scalloping.
Sunday we had Drew's family over for a Fourth of July Celebration. John Andrew had bought a bunch of fireworks on their way back from visiting Hensley and Sawyer.
Right before Drew's family arrived we had a little incident with Copper. Ty and Kevin came down for the party and fireworks and Ty was hungry so we were making him a sandwich. He went over to the Doolin's side to get some ham for his sandwich and while walking back Copper bit him on his calf. Poor Ty had to go all the way back to Tally so that Dr. Stoetzel could bandage him up and luckily he didn't have to get any stitches. Here is where Copper resided the rest of the weekend.
And here is Ty with his leg bandaged up.
Once everyone had eaten all the wonderful food and desserts, the Smith/Davis/Wagnon clan came down to watch the fireworks. Tripp and Heather were in town and I got to meet Aubrey for the first time. This year we decided to shoot the fireworks off in the yard instead of on the beach so everyone could sit on the porch. This seemed like a great idea at first......
We started off with all the little one doing sparklers.
Then we got ready for the big ones.....
The first few fireworks went off and everything was going smoothly. Next thing you know, one turned over on its side and shot towards the swamp between us and our neighbors. Once it finished two of the sparks caught the grass on fire and the whole swamp went up in blazes. Everyone was running around like crazy....grabbing hoses, buckets, ice chest. Several neighbors from along the beach came running over to help us put the fire out. Within several minutes or so we had the fire put out. Thank you everyone for pitching in and helping us. Some of the kids were freak out but most of them thought it was cool. I don't think Uncle D thought it was so cool and he is now ready to retire from lighting of the fireworks.
After that fiasco we somehow decided to continue with our fireworks which only ended in another scare. Another firework block tipped over and shot toward our other neighbor. The firework went right under their house and exploded. Luckily everything was okay and there was no damage. At that point we decided that all fireworks will be let off at the beach so thats where we wrapped up our grand finale and it was exciting!
Thank you Uncle D and Drew for being our brave firework igniters!
Monday was pretty laid back. Drew, Sarah and I went out to the spit to do a little tarpon fishing. We didn't catch a tarpon but we had a great time.
We had a wonderful weekend full of family, friends and sunshine!! Looking forward to do it again soon!

Drew and I had a fabulous mother's day weekend! We got down to Drew's family's beach house on Ochlocknee Bay in the wee hours of Saturday morning. John Andrew and Kay were waiting up for us and we all watched the House Sine Die and went to bed.
Saturday we went on a fishing trip to the South Sholes.
After brunch it was so beautiful outside that we went for a boat ride.
