Push Present

Last Friday, July 27, 2012, I got home from work and Drew had a surprise for me.  He had been saving for the past nine months for the best push present ever!

The surprise was this beautiful diamond necklace that I will cherish for the rest of my life.  The diamond in the center was Drew's grandmother's diamond that she gave to him and Drew pick out the tear drop setting all by himself, which I just love.  It is so beautiful.  (The picture doesn't do it justice)

Now I know that usually you get this present when you have the baby but Drew could tell that I was getting kind of tired of being so big and uncomfortable all the time that he thought this would give me a boost for the last few weeks.  Which was a great idea!  Instead of calling it a push present, I will call it a carrying present.

Thank you sweetie for being such an amazing husband and a wonderful person!  I know you are going to be the best father to our two little ones and can't wait for the upcoming years!  We have such wonderful times ahead and I'm glad I get to share it with you.  You make me so happy each and every day!

Baby Moon at Callaway Gardens

This past weekend, Drew and I went on a little getaway to Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia.  We had a great time and wonderful weather.  It was a little hot for our liking especially being seven and half months pregnant but overall a lot of fun!

Here are some pictures for the trip:

We went to the Butterfly Garden

We saw the Birds of Prey Show
Red Tail Hawk
There were several other birds at the show but this one they walked around the crowd so you could get a good picture.  All the birds flew right over Drew's head.  So close that he had to duck.  It was a really neat show.

We spend some time at Robin Lake Beach.

We also had a nice dinner at The Garden's Restaurant.

There are a ton of things to do at Callaway Gardens.  Most things I couldn't do because I was pregnant but would love to come back sometime when the kids are old enough.  A few things we did do that we don't have pictures of, is went to the FSU circus show and rented a golf cart and rode around the gardens.

On Sunday we went to the Wild Animal Safari which is 4 miles away from Callaway Gardens.  It was the coolest zoo Drew and I have every been too!  There is a little walking part of the zoo but it's mainly a drive thru zoo that you can do in your own car.  All of the animals walk right up to your car to get food.  It is the craziest thing.  Here are some pictures.

Couples Baby Shower

Saturday, June 9, The Mork's and The Groom's hosted a wonderful couples baby shower for Drew and I.  It was a jungle themed shower which goes along with the twins nursery.  Even though the weather wasn't the best, we had a fabulous time and I really enjoyed the Bang Bang Shrimp!!  It is my new craving!

Drew was excited to get his own diaper bag which even has a pocket to hold three quail.

Here are some pictures of the guests:

The men were out back frying the shrimp!

Another fun thing the hosts set up was a create a bib for the twins stations.  Here are some of the bibs:

Everyone had a great time and Drew was overwhelmed by all the gifts his friends gave.  We are very thankfully to have such good friends and so much support for our new little babies!  We are truely blessed.

Here is the final picture once we unloaded at our house.  Thank you everyone!!

Our precious babies!!

Today we got to see the babies in a 3D/4D ultrasound.  It was amazing!!  One of the nice things about this ultrasound was we got to bring our parents.  The grandparents were really amazed at the technology as there weren't even 2D ultrasounds when they were having us.

Little Andrew has a chubby little face and seems to be smashing his little sister most of the time.  Most of the pictures of Hayes, she has the thin dividing membrane across her face with Andrew's hand pushing on it. They both are doing extremely well and are active little babies.

Andrew - you can see he has hair

Hayes - with Andrew's hand
This is the picture I was talking about where you can see Andrew on the left and it looks like he is in a bubble.  He is in his own sac but pushing on her.

Hayes - membrane across her face

To us they look a lot alike and we see some of Drew and I in both of  them. Hayes had her little fingers in her mouth at the beginning of the ultrasound.  She also opened her eyes and mouth a couple of times.  Toward the end we got both of them giving a high five or punching each other. I guess that starts right away with brother and sister.

We are so excited about these little babies and we can't wait for them to get here!!  Only a few more months to go!
